A system design for a real - time production management and control system
with very high data and transaction load.
The mission was to migrate an existing ORACLE Forms solution, which was far to slow, to an ORACLE10gR2 RAC environment. An OMNIS WebApplicationServer stores real time data from programmable logic controller (PLC ) and provides the  data to OMNIS or Adobe FLEX WebClients.
The transaction rate will be 100 TA‘s / second, each TA has to be committed into the database in less the 2 seconds. The reality came up later with was less the 1 second.
The project started in 4/2006 and went into production 7/2007.
